Eco-Lunch is committed to purchasing food that is good, clean and sustainable. We seek out local organic produce and products whenever feasible. We choose food that has been grown, prepared or packaged as close to Northern California as possible.
Our box lunch menus and recipes focus on foods that current research has identified as being the healthiest and most essential to maintain good health and weight. These ingredients, termed by many doctors and researchers as “Super Foods”, include, but are not limited to: whole grains, legumes, blueberries, walnuts and almonds, yogurt, pumpkin, broccoli, and low-fat meats. Healthy never tasted this good!
We provide a wide range of flavors based on popular cuisine so that students might learn about good taste and good health. We are interested in teaching children how to be lifelong connoisseurs of good food. Eco-Lunch uses compostable packaging. Most kitchen waste is composted or recycled as appropriate. Our commitment is to have the smallest possible environmental footprint.
